Veteran Iranian artists get awards
The Iranian Theatre Forum honoured eight veteran artists for their lifetime achievements at the closing ceremony of Iranian Theatre Week at Milad TV Tower in Tehran on Sunday.
Stage directors Ruhollah Jafari and Bahram Beizai, actors Ali Nasirian, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Jaleh Olov and Iraj Raad, novelist Mahmud Dowlatabadi and graphic designer Qobad Shiva were rewarded.
Accepting his award, Nasirian congratulated the forum for honouring veteran artists.
In his brief remarks, Olov also thanked those who have always shown kindness and respect for her.
“I’m too old to go on stage now, but I can still work in film, radio and be active as a vocal actor,” she said.
Raad, who was surprised to receive his award, said that all these years he did his best to serve the Iranian theatre family.

Vieilles gloires récompensées
Le Forum théâtral iranien a honoré huit grands artistes pour leurs longues carrières lors de la cérémonie de clôture de la Semaine théâtrale iranienne à la tour de télévision Milad à Téhéran dimanche.
Les metteurs en scène Ruhollah Jafari et Bahram Beizai, les acteurs Ali Nasirian, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Jaleh Olov et Iraj Raad, le romancier Mahmud Dowlatabadi et le graphiste Qobad Shiva ont été récompensés.
En acceptant son prix, Nasirian a remercié le forum d’honorer les artistes vétérants.
Dans ses brèves remarques, Olov a également salué le public qui a toujours fait preuve de gentillesse et de respect envers elle.
« Je suis trop vieille pour monter sur scène maintenant, mais je peux encore travailler au cinéma, à la radio et être actif en tant qu’acteur vocal », a-t-elle dit.
Raad, qui a été surpris de recevoir son prix, a déclaré que toutes ces années, il a fait de son mieux pour servir la famille du théâtre iranien.
