Iran has nominated the film Asghar Farhadi’s The Salesman to compete for the best
Foreign Language film in 2017 Oscars.
After deliberations and discussions between nine
Iranian producers and directors, the majority of the board chose Farhadi’s
film.
Amir Esfandiari, the spokesman
for the board said it was the best film to represent Iran’s cinematic
capacities.
The film has already won two
prizes at the 2016 Cannes film Festival and Asghar Farhadi has already been awarded
a number of international prizes.

L’Iran a choisi le film Le Client de Asghar Farhadi pour concourir
dans la catégorie du meilleur film de langue étrangère pour les Oscars 2017.
Après délibération entre neuf producteurs
et réalisateurs iraniens, la majorité a voté pour le film de Farhadi.
Amir Esfandiari, leur porte-parole a estimé
que c’était le meilleur film pour représenter le cinéma iranien.
Le film a déjà remporté deux prix au Festival
de Cannes 2016 et Farhadi de nombreuses récompenses internationales.
